SUMMARYJoin the TRAKX team and help build complete industrial vehicles, from a bare chassis to final startup. You will work with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, 24 V electrical systems and control systems on varied projects manufactured in Rouyn-Noranda for customers in Canada and around the world.
REQUIREMENTSTraining or relevant experience in heavy equipment mechanics, heavy-duty vehicle mechanics, automated systems electromechanics or a related field. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, thorough, mechanically inclined and eager to learn. Recent graduates and experienced self-taught mechanics are welcome to apply.
SALARY$28 to $36 per hour, based on experience and skills.

At TRAKX, you will help build complete industrial vehicles—from a bare chassis to final startup.
You will work with diesel engines, transmissions, axles, hydraulic systems, 24 V electrical wiring and control systems. Our equipment is designed and manufactured in Rouyn-Noranda using components from recognized manufacturers such as Volvo Penta, Dana Spicer and Bosch Rexroth.
Your role
Working with our production and engineering teams, you will:
Assemble mechanical components and drive systems;
Install engines, transmissions, axles and hydraulic components;
Complete electrical wiring and control-system connections;
Read mechanical, hydraulic and electrical drawings;
Perform adjustments, testing and equipment startup;
Diagnose and correct issues during assembly;
Verify the quality of completed work.
What makes this position different
You will participate in the construction of complete machines, not only the repair of existing equipment. Projects are varied, hands-on and technically challenging, and you will see the direct results of your work.
The equipment built in Rouyn-Noranda is delivered to customers in Canada and around the world.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, thorough and passionate about mechanics.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
Heavy equipment mechanics;
Heavy-duty road vehicle mechanics;
Automated systems electromechanics;
Other relevant training or practical experience.
Recent graduates and experienced self-taught mechanics are welcome to apply.
Experience with hydraulics, 24 V electrical systems, controllers or CAN bus networks is considered an asset.
Working conditions
Permanent, full-time position;
Monday to Friday, daytime schedule;
Salary of $28 to $36 per hour, based on experience and skills;
Clear salary progression;
Position based in Rouyn-Noranda;
No underground work or fly-in/fly-out schedule.
